Well traveled flask

From 1985 to 1999 I made a lot of glass that sold through museum shops and craft galleries all across the country. In 2013 I married Carol Corning and we had the reception at my property in Osage, AR. After the reception, Carol’s sister Jean brought out a piece of glass as a wedding gift. As soon as I saw it I knew it had to be something I had made. The piece had returned to Osage after 22 years traveling the world. It was signed with my initials and ’91.

In 2007 a good friend of Carol’s, Elaine, had retired and was de-accessioning items so she could move. Jean acquired the glass from Elaine. Elaine had been a professor at UCA in Conway where Carol had attended college and she was also in charge of the study abroad program and had spent quite a bit of time abroad. Elaine had obtained this piece of glass when she was at Maastricht, Netherlands and knew nothing about who made it or where it was made.
