ALICE WALTON: Well, here we go again. Johnny, I call him my boyfriend, and he usually sits next to George, George Washington, who's my other boyfriend. But Johnny is by an artist that was in our first State of the Art, in 2014 and '15. A fabulous artist from North Dakota, Susie J. Lee. Susie grew up in North Dakota, very was sensitive to all the pro and anti-fracking conversations going on in the world and the friction between the environmentalist and the oil and gas industry, and very cognizant of the need for those jobs in a rural state such as North Dakota, and the impact of those jobs on people in that state.So she really wanted to put a face to fracking. And I love this video portrait of Johnny, just sitting and allowing us to know him in our own way.
So, don't let Johnny shock you when he blinks his eyes or moves around, but it's a 30-minute loop of Johnny just sitting and being who he is, a North Dakota fracker.
