Merry Christmas 1902

This family tramp box was loved and saved in various, inhospitable locations throughout it’s long life. It was originally covered with patterned velvet material that had deteriorated. I wanted to replace the velvet with another decorative element and had copper in mind when luckily I found these hand-painted, copper sheets at a garage sale. Amazing match! I cherish it’s history and how it represents love of family from generations past. “Merry Christmas 1902” is written inside the box.
