Quilted Halloween Costumes

Born in 1925, Bev Garside, before her death in 2020, was an amazing quilter. She gathered friends around her to share, and to teach, machine appliqué. Her ability is displayed in this quilt she made of children dressed for Halloween. Each one is different, and close inspection will reveal the detailed stitching, amazingly done all by machine. The use and placement of fabrics gives texture and color to the costumes worn by each goblin. Bev hung this quilt in her living room every year on Halloween, and I was lucky enough to inherit it upon her death.
