The Offering

I’m and artist working in craft mediums. Felt, fabric, beads, basketry and more. This piece is especially significant to me because it represents my concerns for the care of our environment. We have a responsibility to care for nature for ourselves and future generations. We are at a crucial juncture in the balance of our planet and it’s resources. This work is entitled “The Offering” and it is micro knotted hand sculpture holding a felted orb with beads and threads. It is currently traveling with HGA’s Small Expression 2020 Exhibit. I came across a term which was new to me that expresses something I would like to convey through my work, Eutierria. Understanding and feeling that we are one with our natural surroundings.
